Dawn of the Hearts Ch.5

    Alicean woke up to the alarm on her phone. “6 o’clock.” Just about as soon as her feet touched, someone knocked on the door.  Tired, she got up to open the door and smiled.  “I got you some coffee.” “Thanks, you’re ready so soon?” “Yeah.” “Guess you’ll just have to wait on me then.” “Okay.” She pulled out an outfit and asked, “Dose this look good to you?” Sonic sat there staring at it. “Y-Yeah, it’s nice.” She smiled and went to put it on some perfume and lip gloss.  “I’m done.” “You look perfect! Now, want some help getting your stuff?” “No, I’m fine.” As they got in the elevator, Sonic started at her, noticing she was nervous. “Everything okay?” He slid his hand up and down her back.  She blushed and said, “Yeah.” “Alright.”  
    As they walked out the lobby, it was cold and dark out outside.  “Here” Sonic gave her his coat.  “I’ll just drive up.” It wasn’t long until they were almost there.  “So, you have a good sleep?” “Yes.  What about you?” “Not really.  I was worried about something.” “Oh.” “You smell good.” She giggled and said, “You just like everything about me, don’t you?” “Yeah.” “But I can’t say much myself.  I like your eye color.” Sonic blushed and said, “You’re really sweet.  I like yours too.” “Thanks.” After a while, they were sitting down waiting on the plane.  He didn’t see Alex anywhere.  “Guess she was right.” Alicean looked at him with sad eyes as they left; only wondering what Alex was up too.
    “It’s great to be off that plane.” “You must not like flying.” “You bet.” Sonic looked at the sky. “So, what’s here to do?” “Lots of things.” “Nice.” “I’m still worried about Alex.  He hasn’t answered when I called him.” “I’m sure he’s ok.” “I hope so.”  “Sonic?” “ Yes?” “Why come you waited so long to tell me you liked me?” “Well, it wasn’t because I was shy or anything.  I just guessed you liked Alex more, and he wouldn’t let me come an inch to you.” “I don’t know why he did that, if he didn’t want you around me he could have just said so, right?” “Hehe, yeah. Did you try telling him that?” “Yeah, but he wasn’t so happy afterwards.” “If only he’ll let us be friends.” “Yeah.”   “I can’t decide between the two of you.” “Very hard decision, huh?” “Yes.” “I’m sure you’ll make up your mind.” She smiled. “So, exactly what are we doing here?” “I just wanted to relax a bit.” “Alicean, I know this might be hard but, do you like me?” She paused, thinking of an answer to say.  “I…can’t say yet, but there’s that feeling your around.” “What kind of feeling?” “I don’t know how to describe it.” Sonic smiled.  “Alicean, what if Alex is already here?” “How could that be so?” “I dunno.  He’s done some strange things.” “…Well, I hope not.  He would kill you.” “Yes he would.” “I have nice reservations for things.” “Cool.” “Like the view?” “Yeah.” Sonic looked down at her hand.” “Alicean?” He softly grabbed it, pulling her closer.  Alicean stared into his eyes.  “I-I’m sorry.” “No.” She smiled as he held her hand again.
    Sonic sat on couch upside-down, smiling at Alicean.  “So, what now?” “Hmm…” “Alicean?” “Huh?” “C’mere.” She walked over to the couch while Sonic tried to sit upright.  “So, what is it.” “Close your eyes.” “What?” “Look.” He gave her a necklace with a blue diamond shaped jewel on it.  “Is it real?” “Yup.  You’re too beautiful for something that’s not real.” “Uhh…I’ll be right back.” “Alicean?” She ran to the bathroom.  “I can’t believe he said that.” The thoughts she had earlier came back.  She heard a knock on the door and opened it.  “I’m really sorry If I said something wrong.” They walked out back to the couch and sat down. “You didn’t say anything wrong, I just…” “No, I’ve just been a bother to you.” “Sonic, you’ve never been a bother to me.” “Really, but how?  I not capable of loving anyone truly, I’m only just some flirty guy and I’m not really that attractive…” “Maybe so but, I like you that way.” Sonic leaned over, soft kissing her on the lips.  “I love you so much.”  Soon after that her phone rang and sadly, it was Alex.  “Alex, where the hell have you been?” “Look, I’m really sorry for what I did.” “Alex, all I want to know is what those papers where about and why didn’t you tell me.” “They were about my mother, who’s actually not dead and didn’t want to tell you because I wanted to keep you happy. “Alex, are you sure those things are real?” “Well, they have the government symbol and stuff on it.” “You look like a fool trying to please me, but that’s ok.” “So, where are you now?” “You know, the place that plane went to, that you weren’t on.  Don’t think you’re going to get out of this easy.” “Oh, hehe…You went by yourself?” “No?” “Then who did you bring?” “I’m going to be honest, Sonic.” “SONIC?!” “Alex, please, I hate to say this but grow up. That hate is childish so, why not be friends?” “He’s a threat to this relationship!” “Alex…” “I’ll think about it.” ” “So, when will you be over here?” “I don’t know.” “Alright, good night Alex.” “Bye…”
    “Alicean?” “Huh?” “Do you have a good day?” “Yeah.” “Alright then, good night.” She looked outside the window, still thinking about Sonic’s kiss and happy he must have been after doing so.  “When he said he loved me, he really meant it.” She turned around and saw Sonic looking at her.  “Is everything alright?” ‘Y-Yes.” “You’re not cold?” “Well, sort of.” “Here.” He moved over, offering her to sleep with him.” “Thank you, Sonic, but I’m fine.” “Oh, ok.”  “It’s a pretty night, huh?”  “Yeah.” “You’re not tired yet?” “It takes a lot to wear me out.”  Again, it started to rain.  “Ah, it’s been raining for days.” “Hm, I heard you didn’t like rain.” “I used to.  Now I find it quite relaxing.” “That’s nice.” “I always meant tell you, I always liked your singing voice.” “Really?” “Yup.” She jumped on him and gave him a tight hug.  “Thank you.” “…Welcome…oh god…”
